Bike Ride @ Prasat Hin Phanom Rung Historical Park, Buriram

Saturday 30th August

If you have a motor bike and are interested in a bike ride out of town, head down to Nok's Bar in Joho for 8:30am on the 1st or 3rd Saturday of each month. There will be a bike ride to various destinations leaving at 9:00am. For more information, or if you are interested in going, contact Barry on 0837479994, or Chris on 087 323 7488 and leave your name so they know how many will be going.

Today's bike trip will take you to visit the Prasat Hin Phanom Rung Historical Park in Buriram Province. It's a huge Khmer temple on top of a hill with nice views so there will be lots of good photo opportunities. There's an entrance fee of 100 Baht.

The route will take you from Korat to Chakkarat-Huai Thalaeng-Lam Plai Mat-Nang Rong-Prasat Hin and driving back on the Road No.24 to Nong Ki, Chok Chai and then Korat. The total distance will be about 300km.

The last ride was a great success so if you fancy a good day out with a friendly bunch of people please join in. The full breakfast menu will be available before departure.

Any size bike is good enough as the group travel about 100-150km away from Korat and go about 80km per hour so even a decent scooter will be able to manage. It's a cruise, not a race to see who can get there first. The group will arrive back in Korat by the early afternoon.
