Big Mountain Music Festival 2017 @ Khao Yai

The Big Mountain Music Festival has returned to Khao Yai for 2017 - It’s time to come back home.

Pepsi is presenting The Big Mountain Music Festival 2017 from Saturday 9th - Sunday 10th December 2017 at The Ocean in Khao Yai, Nakhon Ratchasima.

At this time of year, the temperature in the mountains drops significantly, so the weather will be great for an outdoor event. Just make sure you take something to wrap up warm by the end of the evening.

“Khao” means “Mountain” and “Yai” means “Big”. The biggest music festival in Thailand has been hosted there 7 times since 2010 . After moving to Kang Krachan, Petchaburi in 2015 and 1 year off in 2016 due to the passing away of The King, it’s time to come back home to Korat as big as ever.

All Thai music festivals tend to have an idea or concept behind them for some reason, and the slogan for the Big Mountain Music Festival is: “mun-yai-mak” (Craziness – Huge – Many). The idea being that you go crazy for the weekend, corresponding with the well known English phrase: 'Go big, or go home!'

The Big Mountain Music Festival aims to give a special experience, with the “mun” (craziness) they have never before seen in Thailand, in this 2-day-2-night music festival. In other words, it will be a continuous, 48-hours of unforgettable music and activities. In the end, coming to Big Mountain is not just about going to a music festival, but living and sharing a good experience with like minded people in an outdoor environment.

Over 30,000 people attend Big Mountain Music Festival, making it a serious tourist attraction. This is where the “yai” (huge) comes in, both in production and festival scale. A great deal of money has been spent on huge constructions: a remarkably designed 50 metre tall stage, a 16 metre long Dancing Tree, nightclubs, markets and other facilities.

Big Mountain Music Festival is a concert that gathers “mak” (many) A-list bands from big labels, with every type of music and a cool selection of other Indy artists. It also offers a selection of interesting activities such as interactive plays, fashion and art exhibitions, food markets and souvenir shops. In addition, the festival also provides special entertainment booths, various types of stages and a camping area for those who would like enjoy the nature and music at the same time.

In short, if you like music and can get down there, make sure you don't miss out.

Get ready to enjoy 8 stages with over 200 live acts from various genres with creative, fun and festival vibes.
