100 million Baht for King's Stadium Renovations

100 million Baht will be used to make improvements to the King's 80th Anniversary Stadium currently being used by the Nakhon Ratchasima Mazda FC Swat Cats football team.

50m has been pledged by the Thai government, 35m by Korat's Provincial Administrative Organisation and 15m will be provided by the Thai Sports Authorities. The money will be spent to ensure that the King's Stadium is ready for The Thailand National Games which will be held in Nakhon Ratchasima between the 9-19th December 2014. The event will consist of a variety of sports and will be the 43rd of its kind.

Renovations include making the pitch larger, increasing the the stadium capacity and improving seating, putting the substitutes bench in a ditch (so that the view of the pitch is not obstructed from the ground level spectators behind the benches) and a new 17m Baht LED scoreboard that will be 18m wide and 9m high. Toilet facilities will also be improved.
