Get all artistic @ Bung Talua

Bung Talua is a pleasant place to go of an evening to relax, exercise, people watch or just get some fresh air. It's a large lake, surrounded with activity and trees, with a running track and cycle track around it's 3 km perimeter.

It's best to go between 5:00pm and 7:00pm when it's a bit cooler, though there is lighting up until about 8:00-8:30pm, so you can stay longer. It's on the edge of the army base so there are often army events being held on the far side, and there is a real hustle and bustle no matter what time you go.

One of the nicest things you can do there is sit on the grass and paint a picture or paint one of the pieces of children's pottery. It's only 20 Baht and it runs from 4:00pm until 7:00pm on the side of the lake.

A cheap and fun family activity in a peaceful surrounding. If you have children, need an idea for a first date or are just looking to get out the house and find something to do, get down to the bung and you'll have plenty of options.
