Chicken Panaeng @ Baan Kuer

This is a great place with lots to offer depending on the time of day. In the afternoon, you can head down and have a nice coffee, do some work on your laptop, and order some very reasonably priced, excellent food.

Big Boss Cafe is a part of the bigger Baan Kuer restaurant which is split in the middle by a small soi.

I like to sit in the comfy sofa seats, order a chicken panaeng curry served with rice and kick back with a coffee. There are always a few people around, so you can people watch when it suits, or actually get some work done (when it's necessary!)

With a panaeng costing just 50 Baht, you can't go wrong and everything else on their menu is in the same price bracket. You'll pay more for 'gab khao' (a meal to be shared by a few) than you do for a 'rad khao' (single serving with your meal served on rice), so be careful which you are ordering.

If you are feeling up for it, you can have a massage after dinner in the Thai style massage next to the cafe. 2 hours for just 300 Baht! Unbelievable! It is a spa style massage in a communal room.

If you are about in the evening, you can sit opposite and enjoy the nightlife in the main Baan Kuer section. Baan Kuer offers snooker, live football (on lots of different screens), life size Predator statues, great table service, food at all hours of the day and pitchers of draught beer. It doesn't close until late, no matter what the day or occasion.

Accommodation is also available in this resort like venue owned by a former Thai Police officer.
