Sign a petition @ Soi Dog Foundation

The Soi Dog Foundation is a not-for-profit, legally registered charitable organization in Thailand and five other countries. It's mission is to improve the welfare of dogs and cats in Asia, resulting in better lives for both the animal and human communities, to create a society without homeless animals, and to ultimately end animal cruelty.

They are currently running a petition campaign and we urge any of you who are interested to sign it and add your voice to the chorus of people calling for Thailand's government to crack down on the illegal dog meat trade. By adding your name to the petition you are joining a global community of compassionate and dedicated animal-lovers.

Below is a trailer for a documentary on the illegal dog meat trade. Please share the video in any way you can, the more people that become aware of the problem, the more likely it is that something major will be done to stop the cruelty.

With the support of members of the public, Thai police are cracking down on this disgusting trade and dogs are being saved from an excruciating death.

One such case is Hope (pictured on the right) who was snatched from the streets by a dog meat trader and shoved into a cage with lots of other dogs. He's a trusting and friendly boy. He had no reason to think someone would want to hurt him.

The traders were rough with Hope, and the hard metal of the cage dug into his flesh. He must've been terrified as he watched some of the older dogs around him die from thirst and heatstroke. He didn't know an even worse fate awaited him.

Thankfully, Thai police stopped the truck Hope was on, and he and hundreds of other dogs were saved from cruel and disgusting deaths. Hope is now living in a shelter financed by Soi Dog, awaiting a loving family to adopt him.

But there are still thousands of dogs out there being brutally slaughtered for profit...

Help stop the cruelty!
