9 Holes of Golf @ Tiger Golf Club

Tiger Golf is very near the city centre on the west side near the Pak Thong Chai/Zoo Rd and offers a well-kept golf course for a reasonable price. 9 holes will cost 330 baht per person. On top of that each player must take a caddy (an obligatory 130 baht tip must be paid directly to the caddy.) If you don’t have clubs, they can be rented for 500 baht per set (I rather cheekily asked if I could share a set with my golf buddies and split the cost 3 ways, though I did have to chat the lady up a bit to get away with this!)

The caddies were very helpful and friendly. Of the three caddies we had, one spoke English very well, one not so much and the third caddy minimal, but communication could be done through the best of the three. On the final of our 9 holes, the caddies even carried the beer cans whilst we were playing our strokes ;)

I am told that the weekends get very busy, as do public holidays, so weekdays are best. We played from 4pm until about 7pm and ran out of light, but they have floodlights that saw us through the last hole.

The course is currently a 9 hole but expansion is taking place to make it a full 18 holes in the near future. Food and drinks are available at the club house. There are also some drink stations as you go around the course and a driving range in the same complex. A great day out.
